Behaviour and mental health concerns

Behaviour Problems in children.

This section deals with behaviourial concerns that parents have. Although a complicated issue, subdividing into two groups can be helpful.

  1. Children who are otherwise healthy and functioning, but who present some sort of challenging behaviour at home. They have good development and in situations where others look after them they pose no significant challenges – This group may require some strategies for improving the home situation.
  2. Those children who present significant behaviourial challenges in all settings. (Daycare, kindy, School, relatives etc) and in this situation the child may have a behaviour disorder.
